In this role, you'll use your technical and analytical expertise to ensure our district's roading assets are managed, maintained, and improved in a responsible and sustainable way.Why You'll Love This RoleYou'll be part of a small but high-performing Transportation team that use data, evidence, and innovation to improve how our customers experience the road network and our services. Alongside our key suppliers, we bring together the best people and best practice to deliver high-quality services that keep Tasman moving safely and sustainably.What You'll Be DoingWorking closely with the Road Maintenance Programme Leader, other Transportation team members, and suppliers to manage our roading assets in a smart and sustainable way.Providing technical expertise to guide the development of the Roading Forward Works Programme.Delivering clear insights and analysis to inform Long Term Plans and help shape the future of our transport network.Using data and evidence to help direct operational activities and make a real difference to how people experience our roads.Ensuring that engineering processes and deliverables meet high standards and support sound investment decisions.What You'll BringA tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.Experience in roading, infrastructure and preferably asset management.Strong analytical and data management skills — you love turning insights into action.Great communication and teamwork skills — you enjoy working with others to solve problems and make things happen.A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a drive for continuous improvement.Why Join Us?At Tasman District Council, we care about our people, our communities, and the places we look after.
