We are looking for a detail-oriented Grant Analyst to join our team in Carlsbad, California. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in managing Medicaid funding, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting grant-related activities. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset, especially within the healthcare industry. Responsibilities: • Monitor Medicaid funding processes within county systems and ensure all financial reporting is accurate and compliant. • Prepare and submit detailed cost reports at the close of each fiscal period.
• Track and reconcile revenue and expenses using the Electronic Practice Management system, addressing manual discrepancies as needed. • Collaborate with the billing team to ensure proper revenue capture and investigate discrepancies exceeding a 5% threshold. • Identify inconsistencies in financial data and implement solutions to improve reporting accuracy. • Assist in grant management by reviewing budgets, comparing expenses, and providing budgeting guidance to non-finance staff overseeing grant programs. • Contribute to the development and preparation of the annual budget for the upcoming fiscal year. • Support efforts to enhance overall financial processes and data integrity within the organization.
• Previous experience in grant management or financial analysis within the healthcare or public sector. • Proficiency in tracking and reconciling financial data, including manual systems. • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including billing and non-finance personnel. • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial reports. • Knowledge of Medicaid funding and compliance requirements preferred. • Experience preparing cost reports and annual budgets. • Familiarity with using Electronic Practice Management systems or similar tools. • Ability to adapt to evolving priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
