This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a diverse group of certified/licensed/registered veterinary technicians and nurses, veterinary assistants, and faculty, supporting both clinical operations and limited teaching responsibilities. Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth daily operation of the Veterinary Clinic. Perform a full range of small animal veterinary technician duties, including: DentistryPatient care and nursingAnesthesia induction and monitoringSupervise and train veterinary assistants in routine procedures such as:
VenipunctureIV catheter placementAdministration of medications (IV, IM, PO)Use of fluid pumps and diagnostic testingSurgical preparation and chemotherapy administrationAssist with setting up teaching laboratories and provide guidance to veterinary assistants in lab preparation. Maintain active licensure and ensure compliance with AAHA and AVMA accreditation requirements. Uphold all institutional policies, procedures, and professional standards. Complete additional duties as assigned. QualificationsCertified/Licensed/Registered Veterinary Technician/Nurse (required). Minimum of 3 years of experience as a certified veterinary technician, or equivalent experience (required).
