Job DescriptionOpportunity at a GlancePrimary responsibilities involve maintaining, logging and dispensing medications and supplies in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

This position reports directly to the Senior Pharmacist/ Hospital Administrator/ Chief of Staff, and the incumbent works closely with all faculty, staff and students to achieve the goals of the programme and the University's values of: - Teamwork and Communication - Employee Focus - Accountability and Integrity - Continuous Improvement - Helping our Students Achieve Their GoalResponsibilitiesUnder the guidance of the Pharmacist:

Maintain and control the inventory of drugs in the Hospital PharmacyPrepare and dispense in accordance approved drug protocols for surgeries in both the Hospital and Clinical Science programmePrepare and dispense prescriptions approved by clinicians for clients of the Veterinary Teaching HospitalMaintain and control the inventory of medical suppliesUse Avimark software programme for veterinary practiceMonitor drug concentration and dosage calculationsCompletes other duties as assigned.
