Job Description

Employee will be part of the Deployment Pool and will be required to support deployments to various CONUS/OCONUS locations, as required. This position will require the member to be flexible in the support of assigned deployment/work schedules.Manages and coordinates the work effort of assigned subordinate maintenance personnel in support of the unit’s daily RPA maintenance operations. Supervises employees who load, deactivate, and handle munitions including missiles, precision, and gravity bombs. Manages maintenance work on the installation, configuration changes, modification, repair and adjustment of aircraft armament systems and components. Operates computer hardware and software utilities and manual records in order to perform stock control and accounting procedures. Inspects bomb release systems and missile launchers to determine need for repair or destruction in support of Reaper Series RPA maintenance.Incumbent may manage inspection, maintenance, and storage of munitions and support equipment. Focal point for weapons loading and armament systems and related matters. Primary authority to provide quality assurance, compliance, continuity, and standardization of munitions programs. Provides technical and managerial advice to senior leaders in matters of weapons management, inventory, and maintenance, loading, and armament systems. Plans, orders, and ensures availability and serviceability of munitions to support emerging customer requirements.USAF equivalent position is Munitions/Weapons Superintendent.Essential Responsibilities:Oversee maintenance work in the installation, configuration changes, modification, repair and adjustment of aircraft armament systems and components. Perform expert work in the installation, configuration changes, modification, repair and adjustment of aircraft armament systems and components. Perform expert maintenance modification, destruction and demilitarization on ammunition and explosive components. Operate computer hardware and software/utilities and manual records in order to perform stock control and accounting procedures. Inspect bomb release systems and missile launchers to determine need for repair or destruction. Manage all inspections, maintenance, and storage of munitions and support equipment. Focal point for all weapons loading and armament systems and related matters. Execute quality assurance, compliance, continuity, and standardization of munitions programs. Provide technical and managerial advice to senior leaders in matters of weapons management, inventory, maintenance, loading, and armament systems. Maintain own weapons certification and currency. Monitor assigned munitions individuals for certification and currency. Plan, order and ensure availability and serviceability of munitions to support and meet customer requirements. Perform all other duties as assigned or requested. Minimum RequirementsMust have High School Diploma, or have completed relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum Minimum of eight years actual Aircraft Munitions/Weapons maintenance experience required Minimum of three years’ experience on MQ-9 aircraft, as a Munitions/Weapons Technician Completed USAF Munitions/Weapons Tech School or DoD equivalent Must be able to perform Increment Monitor duties to include but not limited to equipment/cargo preparation, documentation, pallet build-up, and hazardous cargoMust have expert knowledge of basic and complex maintenance and repair Must possess extensive weapons handling, maintaining, and accountability experience Must have expert knowledge of basic and complex mechanical maintenance and repair Must be able to Deploy to Forward Locations (other countries) as Directed by the GovernmentMust possess expert knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft mechanical maintenance Must be able to inspect and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment Must achieve a passing grade in all required courses/certifications for continued employment, as needed Employee must meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, to include pre-deployment medical screening, as a condition of employment Must be able to lift, carry and/or wear Military Issued Equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English Must have had an Active Secret US Government Clearance within the last 12 months. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearanceMust be able to maintain required DoD security clearance commensurate with the assigned duties during employmentMust submit updated SF-86 within 30 days of hire start date Must have current/active State Issued Driver’s License Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid flight-line Government Driver’s License Must have valid U.S. Passport with a minimum of two years remaining with at least two facing pairs (four total) of blank Visa pages Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated with booster.  Accommodations may be available under limited circumstancesPreferred QualificationsAssociate Degree in a relevant career field RPA Operations & Deployment experience Prior experience as a Defense Contractor Munitions/Weapons experience within the last 10 yearsAmentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
