Join Roche, where every voice matters.The PositionRSS Project Portfolio ManagerOur Strategy & Portfolio Management team, embedded within the Roche Services & Solutions (RSS) organization, acts as a strategic catalyst, aligning with Roche's broader objectives. We drive the overall RSS strategic planning and manage the RSS portfolio, ensuring a cohesive approach across all RSS units and fostering alignment with financial targets. Through our work, we enable RSS to navigate its strategic course, ensuring our efforts contribute significantly to Roche's 10 year ambitions.The Opportunity:As a RSS Project Portfolio Manager you will ensure that the value of project portfolio management is visible and understood in all areas of RSS. To do so, you will work in close collaboration with the RSS Leadership Team, RSS Strategy, RSS Unit Leads, Global Product Owners and the other portfolio managers. You will:Act as a Portfolio Manager for assigned RSS units or enablers, representing them in the RSS Portfolio Management team and supporting strategy executionEnsure project portfolios have business/value cases with calculated costs and benefits for value-based decision-making in collaboration with relevant stakeholdersFoster alignment and 'connect the dots' within the RSS portfolio and between Project Portfolio Managers to link initiatives to the RSS strategy and unit strategiesOversee resource allocation to initiatives and projects, addressing constraints by collaborating with RSS unit management and escalating issues to the Portfolio Management levelManage demand intake, prioritize processes, and optimize resource allocation by using a fact-based approach to assess, prioritize, and fund new initiativesAct as the point of contact for interdependencies, risk management, capacity planning, and resource allocation, while enabling cross-regional collaboration and knowledge sharingDevelop and implement portfolio management frameworks, tools (e.g., Monday.com), and governance processes to ensure transparency, data accuracy, and actionable insights across the RSS portfolio. Provide training and ongoing support as neededWho you are:Possess a University degree and over 4 years of experience in Project or Portfolio Management, with additional knowledge or experience in assigned areas as a plusProficient in portfolio management best practices, including methodologies, processes, and toolsDemonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset, strong analytical skills, and strategic, conceptual, and systematic thinking abilitiesSkilled in business partnering, with strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and influence capabilitiesProven ability to solve problems by reducing complexity into strategic decisions and delivering high-quality outcomes on timeExperienced in coaching and leading initiatives from concept to execution in an agile environment, with knowledge of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum)Interest in or experience with new technologies and data analytics, alongside a record of achieving ambitious performance targets and metricsIn exchange we provide you with Development opportunities: Roche is rich in learning resources.
