Safety Advisor

Airport Development Group (ADG) manages multiple airports across the Northern Territory and is experiencing an exciting period of growth. We are seeking a proactive Safety Advisor to support WHS compliance across airport operations and construction activities.This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced aviation environment and is passionate about building a strong safety culture.About The RoleReporting to the Facilities Manager, you will provide practical WHS advice, conduct inspections and audits, and support continuous improvement of ADG’s safety systems.This is a Safety Sensitive Aviation Activity (SSAA) role and requires infrequent travel to Tennant Creek Aerodrome.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct site inspections and audits, including construction activitiesDevelop, review and maintain WHS documentation (plans, SWMS, permits, policies and procedures)Deliver safety inductions, briefings and WHS trainingProvide WHS and risk management advice to staff, contractors and managementMaintain WHS systems in line with legislation and organisational requirementsSupport policy and procedure reviews to ensure legislative complianceAssist with tenancy inspections to identify safety hazardsProvide aviation safety advice and support incident investigationsPromote a strong, sustainable safety culture across ADGEssentialAbout YouCertificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or related field)Experience in WHS compliance within construction, aviation or infrastructureSound knowledge of WHS legislationStrong attention to detail and proactive approach to hazard identificationAbility to engage and influence stakeholdersStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to obtain and maintain an ASICDesirableExperience developing safety systems and documentationAbility to interpret WHS legislation and codes of practiceReport writing experienceWhy ADG?Airport Development Group (ADG) owns and manages diverse infrastructure assets across the Northern Territory including airports, hotels, aviation, and commercial buildings.
