Job Description

Our client, a leading civil contractor operating throughout the Interior of British Columbia, specializes in large-scale earthworks, roadbuilding, utility installation, and civil construction for mining, municipal, and oil and gas clients. They are seeking a Safety Coordinator to support field operations on remote project sites and contribute to the success of their growing team. Key Responsibilities:Support day-to-day field activities while ensuring all personnel adhere to company and regulatory safety requirementsConduct regular site inspections and assist with hazard assessmentsSupport incident investigations and assist in implementing corrective actionsFacilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and new worker orientationsMaintain and complete safety documentation and reportsWork closely with project leadership to sustain a proactive safety cultureParticipate in a 14/7 rotation on remote project sites across the Interior of BC, with camp accommodations or LOA provided Ideal Candidate Requirements:Minimum of two years of safety experience within civil construction environmentsExperience working on projects involving earthworks, roadworks, utilities, or industrial constructionPrevious experience working on remote project sites in BC or Alberta is considered an assetStrong communication and documentation skillsRelevant safety certifications such as CSO, OFA, or equivalentComfortable supporting field crews in fast-paced construction environmentsFamiliarity with safety standards on mining or oil and gas projects is preferred Why This Opportunity?Competitive compensation packageComprehensive benefits plan including employer-matched RRSP contributionsLong-term opportunity with a well-established civil contractorOpportunities for training and professional developmentCamp or LOA options while working on major civil projects throughout the region Interested candidates are encouraged to send their resumes in Word document format to alex.ciotoiu@torustalent.com.
