Safety Incharge

Job Characteristics:Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the equipment and systems included in WPS customer contracts.Supervises the work of other O&M TechniciansSupervises contractors working on behalf of Nalco – prepares and approves permits for work.Capable of performing all Plant Operator functionsOperates equipment on customer site (Start, Stop and Adjusts as required)Performs level 1 maintenance on equipment (clean, grease and replace parts as needed)Obtains, analyzes and logs water samples as requiredTakes readings to insure proper process parameters, chemical stock levels and spare part inventoryResponsible for inspections of plant equipment and performs preventative and emergency maintenance as requiredSupervises chemical deliveriesEducation/Work Experience:Secondary diploma5 plus years’ experience of working in an industrial environmentJob specific requirements – fork lift driver license or truck driver licenseElectrical, Water or Wastewater licenses as required by contractIndependence Level/Reports to:Moderate decision making authority – issues daily work plans.Provides direction and support in the development of others.Our Commitment to a Culture of Inclusion & BelongingEcolab is committed to fair and equal treatment of associates and applicants and furthering the principles of Equal Opportunity to Employment.
