Job Description

We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) who will prospect and qualify potential customers for the Vimeo Sales team, building trust and rapport that result in qualified opportunities. The Sales Development Representative is the first point of contact between prospective customers and Vimeo and will be responsible for generating and qualifying new prospects. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for determining potential opportunities for new business and can rapidly qualify, convert, and assign those conversations.What you’ll do:Long-term interest in a client-facing sales careerCompetitive spirit and the drive for resultsExemplary problem-solving skills and the resourceful ability to take initiativeCoachable and enjoys learning in a fast-paced sales environmentSuperior organizational skills and attention to detailBuilding a point of view on how to help qualify customer's needsProspect for new business, researching companies and individuals that meet criteria for prospective partnership with VimeoDevelop ideal customer profiles for outbound prospecting and qualify prospects while leveraging BANT criteriaGrow top of sales funnel through warm and cold outbound campaignsBuild new methods for attracting clientsSchedule high-quality meetings with prospective customers for the sales teamWork to meet and exceed monthly goals defined to maximize deal flow with outbound emails, calls, setting up meetings, etc.Speaking to value and return on investment vs. technical functionalityLearning how to anticipate and prepare for objectionsDemonstrating adaptability and flexibility as part of an ever-growing sales organizationManaging a high volume of inbound leads with a strategy on prioritization of your leadsResearching and understanding various lines of business and personasWork to meet and exceed monthly goals defined to maximize deal flow with outbound emails, calls, setting up meetings, etc.Skills and knowledge you should possess:2+ years’ of work experience. Preferably in market research, lead generation, marketing, or sales, ideally within SaaS businessesBusiness-level proficiency in English is required; native-level proficiency in Japanese.Proven track record of success with a sales cycleExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Have an outgoing personality and the ability to hold an engaging conversation or write an attention-grabbing email.Identify customer needs and solve gaps with creative outreach strategy & discovery including, but not limited to: email copy, warm/cold calls, social media outreach, in-person eventsHigh level of resilience and ability to handle objections both over the phone and by emailAbility to multi-task and prioritize workload to maximize efficiencyRepresent the company and our products with a high degree of professionalismA competitive nature and relentless drive to succeedExperience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software, outreach, Chat tools, Zoominfo, SalesNavBase Salary Range:¥ 4,500,000 - ¥ 5,665,250 JPY annuallyThis role also includes on-target commissions in addition to base salary.At Vimeo, we strive to hire and nurture amazing talent across the globe.
