A fully owned subsidiary of a global company - expert in electrical specialties, equipment and solutions for high-tech industries - is seeking a commercially driven leader to accelerate growth across the Benelux region. This role is designed for a high-performing, sales-focused executive with a strong track record in complex industrial markets.The GM sales Benelux region will act as business developers, key account strategist, and regional growth architect with full responsibility for delivering top-line impact in one of Europe’s most important regions.Job Responsibilities:The GM/MD Benelux is managing the headquartered site near Rotterdam with a branch in Belgium.He/she acts as Sales Director for Benelux (Netherland, Belgium, Luxembourg) and ensures an efficient NL/BE-wide collaboration (coherency of policies implemented, etc). - Main challenges of the position:• Driving Growth: Expand market share and grow revenue in a competitive and mature market.• Strategic Alignment: Ensure local execution aligns with global group strategy and BU objectives.• P&L Responsibility: Manage profitability while balancing operational costs and investments.• Team Leadership: Implement modern management aligned with the group`s standards, unifying and engaging the teams in the Netherland and Belgium under a single company Benelux banner, facilitating collaboration between departments.• Customer Proximity: Maintain strong relationships with key customers and identify new opportunities.• Regulatory Compliance: Navigate local legal, fiscal, and environmental regulations.• Cross-BU Coordination: Facilitate collaboration across Business Units and shared services. - Major responsibilities:A highly operational position in which the leader will spend most of his/her time on sales activities/excellence.• Acts as the Country Sales Director, managing in direct the sales team (circa 6 people) in coordination with the Business Units, defining the sales strategy and growing the top line, visiting customers.• Manages the Sites Management committee, communicating strategic direction, and supervises and ensure transverse collaboration for the following functions: Sales, Finance, Human Resources and IT.• Manages activities to achieve a global performance (financial, business, human, etc)• Organizes activities according to budget, reports monthly status.• Guarantees staff performance, managing and developing the teams, providing guidance for achieving objectives, facilitating `lateral` cooperation between departments.• Implements continuous improvement actions, focusing on performance, with clearly defined performance objectives set for every level of the team in question.• As the Group`s representative, together with the HR, deals with internal organizations and external bodies (local authorities, etc.).• Ensures legally required standards are met. Be the Legal Representative locallyQualifications & Experience: - Ideal Experience:· A seasoned executive from the industrial sector with sucessful years of managing a P&L of comparable or bigger size to the company (20+ M€ Revenue), preferably having worked with a business that focuses on technical products serving a range of industries· Proven track record of delivery in a highly complex, matrix multinational environment· Experience acquired in Belgium and Netherlands· Strong, technically oriented sales leadership experience with a track record of sustained business growth through commercial activities.· Engineering background or similar relevant experience in technical products to understand the main technical components of the products and understand customer needs· Experience in building and managing a team and driving business growth through a motivated workforce - Critical Competencies for Success:Successful candidates should have the following core competencies, which they gained from their former professional careers:· He/she has an inner urge to move things forward, a positive pressure attitude on people and a modern approach to business. Instill a sense of urgency and importance into the key client management processes.· Collaborative Leadership Style: In an environment that requires transversal work and an organization that is highly matrixed, it is expected that this person is able to work in a collaborative manner, can challenge constructively and engages with key stakeholders such as various business heads internationally, corporate HQ and clients alike. This person needs to understand the importance of driving a talent management agenda and enjoys coaching others to improve performance. He/she should have the ability to effectively direct, motivate and develop a team of high-performing professionals.
