Reports To: Vice President of SalesSummaryThe Director of Sales is a hybrid role managing institutional & national account sales, developing go to market strategies for a robust foodservice innovation pipeline with a focus on products and training and building foodservice product capability throughout the sales organization. This is a highly strategic/highly visible role. Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop the go-to-market & commercialization strategy for new foodservice products, working closely with the FoodService Sales Teams. Go-to-market includes: overall strategy (pricing, channel, segment, etc.), selling story and sell-in deck, sales tool development, pilots/testing, target account identification, training and execution.Responsible for managing existing National Account business in the east and identify new prospects & close new accounts.Provide sales and customer POV where key trends and market learnings are representedWork with Sales, and other cross-functional groups to build the necessary knowledge to inform the commercialization strategy.Jointly responsible for the sales performance management of our Foodservice products (with sales leaders)Track innovation and insight selling progress through campaigns and pipeline opportunities.Training and capability building for the Food Service selling organization and products.Job RequirementsBS or MBA required (Business/Marketing preferred), equivalent experience considered.Academic and professional background should offer strong preparation for a retail marketing leadership role in a consumer products environment.Candidate should have demonstrated ability and proven success in creating retail SALES AND marketing plans that have significantly activated consumer engagement and improved revenue streams.10+ years of strong, national operational retail sales and marketing experience.Clear demonstration of sales and marketing leadership, commitment and action orientation.Demonstrated experience creating and managing to detailed measured sales and marketing based P&L.Adept at resource allocation, navigating complex multi-channel organizations, strengthening customer and broker relationships, and altering plans for best outcomes.Understand, adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures pertaining to food safety. Skills Strong negotiation skills.Strong analytical and conceptual skills.Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to travel, local and overnight.Strong presentation skills.Strong Microsoft Office skills essential.
