Our client is a global data center provider with over 700MW of DC capacity worldwide and 15 employees in Japan, currently facing strong growth in the Japanese market.About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Director to lead and grow the data center business. This role will be responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives, building and managing client relationships, and delivering revenue growth in key markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center services, cloud, or IT infrastructure, and a proven ability to lead high-performing sales teams. Key Responsibilities: • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy focused on growth and market penetration within the data center industry. • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals. Foster a highperformance, customer-centric culture. • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with hyperscalers, enterprises, service providers, and channel partners. • Revenue Growth: Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets. Identify new business opportunities and drive full sales cycles from lead generation to closing. • Partnerships: Collaborate with partners, systems integrators, and cloud providers to expand market reach and value proposition. • Market Intelligence: Stay current with market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategy and identify new opportunities. • Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management through CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce). Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.• 10+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the data center industry.• Deep understanding of the data center industry.• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and driving team performance. • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. • Ability to work cross-functionally and lead initiatives across multiple teams.
