Our products are known for engineering excellence, reliability, and long service life, powering sectors from data centers and utilities to heavy industry and oilfield operations.Position Summary:The Sales Director – Key Accounts (LOT Region) will lead business growth and customer relationship strategy across Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas, with a focus on oil and gas sector transformer sales. This senior commercial leader will manage regional Key Account Managers and Business Development staff, oversee major account relationships, and drive top-line revenue growth through strategic customer engagement, market development, and cross-functional collaboration.The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of transformer applications in oil & gas, petrochemical, and heavy industrial environments, combined with a proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams and achieving growth targets in capital equipment or engineered-to-order product markets.Key Responsibilities:Lead all commercial and sales activities across the LOT region (Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas), focusing on oil & gas and industrial transformer markets.Develop and execute a strategic regional sales plan aligned with corporate growth objectives and market trends.Manage and mentor a team of Key Account Managers and Business Development Managers, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer expectations.Build and maintain strong relationships with major oil & gas producers, EPC firms, and OEMs.Identify and pursue new opportunities for growth in refining, petrochemical, LNG, and midstream infrastructure projects.Oversee proposal and bid processes, ensuring competitive, profitable, and technically sound submissions.Collaborate with Applications Engineering, Project Management, and Operations to ensure seamless order execution and customer satisfaction.Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and customer trends to guide pricing strategy and product positioning.Develop regional sales forecasts, track KPIs, and report performance to senior leadership.Represent Virginia Transformer at major industry events and trade shows such as IEEE, DUG, and OTC.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).10+ years of progressive experience in power equipment or transformer sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership or regional management role.Strong background in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial markets.Proven success managing multimillion-dollar accounts and achieving revenue/margin targets.Deep understanding of transformer design, specification, and application in hazardous or industrial environments.Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.Proficiency with CRM and data-driven sales management tools.Willingness to travel up to 50% across the LOT region.Why Join Virginia Transformer:Lead regional strategy for the largest U.S.-owned transformer manufacturer.Build partnerships with global oil & gas leaders driving energy reliability and transition.Competitive base salary + performance incentives.Full benefits package including health, retirement, and travel programs.Opportunity to shape regional growth within a company expanding aggressively across North America.
