The primary function of this role is to create and service a sales pipeline of opportunities and to convert those opportunities into sales for the company's Mining market, focusing on Eriez's flotation and magnetic separation technologies. The Sales Engineer is responsible to work within the provided strategies. This includes direct selling to end-users, OEM's and EPC's, managing and retaining relationships with existing clients and supporting representative agents across the British Columbia area. If the candidate is located in the Vancouver mainland, this position will be hybrid, based out of our Delta, BC office. However, if the candidate is based in Prince George or Kamloops, the role will be fully remote.RequirementsIn this role, you will undertake the following duties, including but not limited to:SalesIdentify opportunities, build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve sales growthConvert opportunities into orders through solution-based sales and relationship sellingPrepare, deliver and present detailed technical and commercial sales/product proposals and presentations Deliver customer presentations daily or weekly as the per the business planManage lists of opportunities, accounts and targets, plan and prioritize to grow business within Canada, BC coverage areasPlan to achieve 50% customer face/contact time targets as defined by the agreed KPI'sLead development of commercial proposals including estimating budgets and presenting the proposal to the client, contract negotiation, and ongoing follow ups on the project statusMust be well organized, able to plan client engagement and associated travel (approx. 50%)StrategicIdentify sales opportunities and coordinate Eriez resources to address themAssist, as required, to solve customer technical problems and recommend solutionsContribute to the preparation of and attend trade shows & conferences as requiredChampion client projects internally from concept to delivery, ensuring successful handover to Engineering & Project Management after the order, and to the Client at completionStay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions in Canada coverage areasReportingContribute to periodic sales meetings by summarizing sales opportunities, market analysis and competitor analysisUpdate status of projects and opportunities in CRM and communicate as required Ability to prioritise workload, set and achieve agreed sales targets and meet deadlinesProvide active feedback and insights from customers to the product development, engineering, and marketing teamAbout YouTo qualify, you must have +5 years of relevant experience in Mining or Mineral Processing comprising one or more of the following:Equipment sales, including developing solutions and implementing them in the fieldField services and training to mining industry clientsFamiliarity with flotation technology and magnetics separation technologyWe also require a degree in related field such as Metallurgical or Mineral Processing Engineering.
