Job Description

Daystar Power Group is a Pan-African provider of solar and hybrid power solutions, offering its systems on a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), fixed monthly fee lease, or buy-out basis. All our solutions are accompanied by comprehensive maintenance services, to ensure the solutions run 365 days a year. We are currently operational in several countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Senegal, Ivory Coast & South Africa. We are looking to engage a competent and experienced Sales Engineer, the ideal candidate shall be responsible for driving and expanding the company's footprint in Ghana.

Sales Engineering and Business DevelopmentLeading client conversations through emails, phone calls and in-person meetingsPerforming energy audits on client sitesDesigning of photovoltaic systems (on-grid, off-grid, hybrid)Developing sales proposals to drive the sales processPreparing and submitting tender documents (including specifications, bill of quantities, drawings, etc. ) and designs as per requirementsDriving the full sales process from proposal drafting to contract execution; and Working with the legal department in respect of all draft agreements and legal documents in connection with your roleRequirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience dealing directly with clients in commercial and industrial space in service industry Language Proficiency: English Character & Competencies:

Prior experience in a Sales or Client facing teamTenacious problem solver that can accurately identify, solve, implement, and communicate complex challengesSelf-motivated, independent professional with excellent communication skills, strong technical aptitude and the ability to thrive under pressureHighly organised with ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands, passion for renewable energyDemonstrated interpersonal and negotiating skills in a direct or indirect capacityAbility to spend time in-person with customers and travel frequently in assigned territory (50-70% travel)Strong work ethic, high energy level and positive attitudePrior experience selling Solar Energy or Diesel Generators a plus Demonstrated attention to detail and extraordinary oral and written communication skills required.
