Job Description
A well-established media and events company in Coventry with over 40 years in the industry, offering a friendly, close-knit working environment and opportunities for career progression is looking for a Sales Executive to join the expanding team to help grow an established conference series. You'll work closely with the Sales Manager and CEO to help develop existing pipelines, receive warm leads and unearth new business opportunities.RequirementsArticulate, enthusiastic, and personable communicatorPrevious sales experience in B2B or B2C environment (Event or sponsorship sales preferable)Confident using telephone, email, and LinkedIn for business outreachAbility to build and maintain professional relationshipsStrong presentation and negotiation skillsSelf-motivated, target-driven, and proactive attitudeWillingness to learn and develop through on-the-job trainingAn interest and understanding of Semiconductor industry is a plus but not essentialPrevious experience with a CRM such as Hubspot is a plus What's Expected of YouWork on an established portfolio of events in the technology sectorTarget potential and existing clients via telephone, email, and online channelsCreate and renew sales opportunities to meet and exceed revenue goalsBuild on existing client relationships and establish new marketing contactsIdentify decision-makers within leading international organisationsPitch products and event sponsorships confidently and professionally to C-level executives and decision makers Attend industry events to develop an understanding of the market, clients, and competitors (EU travel may be required)Maximise sales and revenue through research, outreach, and effective communicationWork to sales targets set by the CEO and Sales Manager70/30 Split of New Business vs Existing account developmentThe OfferBasic salary: £27,000 – £30,000 (dependent on experience)Bonus and commission: Potential OTE of £38,000+Benefits: Life assurance and pensionTraining: Full on-the-job training providedWork environment: Supportive team culture with opportunities for career progression and growthWork Hours: Mon - Fri on site at office based in Coventry, with very occasional weekend travel required when attending international events.
