Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team at İzmir Marriott Hotel. The successful candidate will proactively generate new business, manage existing accounts, drive revenue growth across all segments (corporate, leisure, MICE), supervise and develop the sales team, and provide ongoing training to enhance team performance. As Sales Manager, you will build long-term, value-based customer relationships and collaborate with internal teams to deliver outstanding experiences to our clients. Key ResponsibilitiesActively solicit and manage new business opportunities in the local and regional markets.Develop and maintain relationships with travel agencies, corporate and MICE accounts. Create and deliver sales proposals and presentations tailored to client needs.Negotiate contracts for group bookings, events, and corporate accounts.Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets and KPIsPerform market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential customer segmentsCollaborate with Marketing, Revenue Management, and Operations to align sales strategies and optimize profitabilityOrganize and attend client site inspections, trade shows, and networking eventsPrepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and turnover documentation for the hotel’s revenue and events teamsMaintain accurate client database and follow up on leads, inquiries, and trace datesProvide exceptional customer service and ensure seamless handover to the operations/event team for booked businessManage, and mentor the sales team, including setting sales goals, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance cultureDesign and deliver ongoing training programs for the sales team (new hire onboarding, sales techniques, Marriott systems, negotiation, client management) Candidate ProfileEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in hospitality management, or a related field.Minimum of 3–5 years of sales experience in the hotel or hospitality industry (especially in full-service or upscale hotels)Proven track record in corporate sales and MICESkills & CompetenciesExcellent communication and negotiation skillsStrong networking and interpersonal skillsGood analytical skills with ability to interpret market data and apply insightsAbility to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasksHighly organized and detail-orientedSelf-motivated, proactive, and target-drivenAbility to travel locally or internationally when required, attend events, and host site visitsDriving license is preferredLanguage RequirementsFluent in English (both written and spoken) and Turkish
