Job Description SummaryAs Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing the business with customers associated with OEM engines. In this role, you will be the key in driving commercial success across our Equipment and Service segments.You will lead a team of direct reports, driving efforts to secure new business opportunities, shape Avio Aero’s commercial priorities, and support the execution of commercial agreements. Your leadership and commitment to applying FLIGHT DECK® lean operating model fundamentals for continuous improvement will play a pivotal role in enabling the team to deliver excellence, maintain high-quality standards, and achieve objectives on time.You will work within defined commercial policy objectives, exercising a degree of autonomy to negotiate and execute agreements. This role requires exceptional commercial judgment to deliver successful outcomes, positioning you as a vital contributor to our efforts in driving business growth and achieving strategic goals.This position reports directly to the Senior Sales Director of OEM & CRO.Job DescriptionEssential responsibilitiesLead your team and collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing guidance and support to foster a culture of teamwork and ensure timely achievement of goals.Be responsible for preparing customer proposals/bids and negotiating contracts that align with customer requirements and GE Avio’s value proposition.Lead offer and negotiation processes through your team, driving cross-functional collaboration to address customer needs and achieve GE Avio’s business objectives. Conduct commercial risk assessments, ensure compliance with GE Avio policies and procedures, and secure necessary internal approvals to negotiate with customers.Contribute to the development of strategies for business growth with customers, identifying and cultivating new opportunities. By leveraging strong, trust-based relationships, create innovative business perspectives and compelling value propositions to drive success.In collaboration with other company functions, conduct detailed analyses, prepare budgets, and provide forecasts to report on the health and performance of account business internally.Develop the skills and capabilities of your team by integrating FLIGHT DECK® principles into daily activities, identifying best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, create and implement plans to support career growth and professional development within your team.Qualifications/RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or in Business Administration with proven and solid experience in relevant rolesProven experience in the aerospace industry, ideally in sales, commercial, procurement, and/or program role(s) in an international environment is considered a plusExperience in leading teamsHigh commercial judgement, business acumen and knowledge of business best practices and differentiation factors versus competitionGood autonomy, ownership and decision making with the ability to adjust priorities in a moving environmentComprehensive knowledge of proposal development and management, financial & business concepts, negotiation best practices, processes and proceduresFluent both English and ItalianWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsIndustry and product knowledge: understanding of the aerospace industry and dynamics and familiarity with turboprop engines.Adaptability: thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment, with tight deadlines and high expectations.Strong oral and written communication skills with proven persuasion abilitiesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build consensus cross-functionallyDemonstrated ability to lead projects.
