Job Title: Sales Manager (B2B Travel)Location: Budapest, Hungary (Field-Based / Remote with Frequent Travel)Employment Type: Full-TimeIndustry: Travel, Tourism & HospitalityExperience Required: 2–6 yearsWork Authorisation: EU citizen or a valid Hungarian / EU work permitTravel Requirement: High travel frequency (approx. 80% of the time)Driving License: A Valid driving license is requiredRole Overview:This role focuses on growing and managing B2B relationships within the local and regional travel trade. The Sales Manager will drive business development, strengthen key accounts, and increase market penetration with travel agencies across Hungary and neighbouring regions.You will act as a consultative partner to travel agents, promoting a leading B2B online reservation platform and ensuring it becomes a preferred tool for booking hotels, activities, and other travel services. The role is highly field-based and ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, meeting clients, and building long-term partnerships.Key Responsibilities:Represent and promote the company’s B2B travel platform and services to travel agencies in Budapest and the surrounding regionsCover the B2B market to drive branding, awareness, and strong product positioningIdentify, approach, onboard, and develop new travel agency partnersMaintain and grow relationships with existing agency partners, ensuring high engagement and retentionConduct product demos, trainings, and refresher sessions for travel consultants and agency teamsGenerate and manage sales leads, follow up on inquiries, and close business opportunitiesProactively develop new business and sales leads through market mapping and networkingFollow up on existing quotes and enquiries with travel agents to convert into bookingsCoordinate closely with internal operations / support teams on pre-sales and post-sales requirementsEnsure strong product visibility and usage across your assigned territoryPlan and execute a daily visit schedule (approx. 5 agency visits per day) to maximise coverage and impactCandidate Profile:Must-Haves:2–6 years of experience in the travel industry (B2B focus strongly preferred)Proven experience in Business Development and/or Account ManagementSolid understanding of outbound travel and local travel trade networksValid driving license and readiness to travel extensively (approx. 80%)Good command of English and the local language (spoken and written)Comfortable using MS Office, email and online booking/reservation systemsAbility to work independently in a field-based / remote setup and manage your own schedulePreferred / Nice to Have:Prior experience working in outbound travel agencies, TMCs or airline salesExisting relationships with local travel agents, tour operators, and key travel partnersStrong destination knowledge and familiarity with popular outbound marketsIATA certification or other relevant travel qualifications (an advantage but not essential)Not a Fit:Candidates coming exclusively from non-travel sectors, such as accommodation aggregators or home-sharing platformsProfiles whose B2B exposure is limited only to cruise-line sales or very niche, non-agency segmentsReporting Line:Reports to: VP Sales (Region-based)Interview Process:Interview with VP SalesHR InterviewApplication Process:To apply, please submit your CV along with a brief note outlining:Your experience in the travel industryYour track record in B2B Sales / Account ManagementYour current notice period and work authorisation status in Hungary / EUShortlisted candidates will be contacted directly for the next steps.Application Process:To apply, please submit your CV and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and qualifications for the role.
