Sales Manager (Foodservice / Distribution Preferred)We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and scale a high-performing sales organization within a fast-paced foodservice and distribution environment. This role is ideal for a strategic sales leader with a strong track record of managing large, multi-level teams and driving profitable growth across multiple territories.Position OverviewThe Sales Manager will partner closely with senior sales leadership to execute the commercial strategy while overseeing the full sales organization, including District Sales Managers, Account Managers, and Customer Service teams. This position plays a critical role in developing sales talent, expanding market reach, and ensuring operational excellence across the customer base.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop a broad sales organization, managing both direct and indirect reports across a large team structureDrive execution of strategic sales and marketing initiatives aligned with company growth objectivesEstablish and optimize sales territories, pricing strategy, promotions, and margin performanceBuild short- and long-term growth plans across new markets, categories, and customer segmentsConduct market and customer analysis to develop territory-level budgets and category strategiesEnsure adoption of CRM tools, analytics, and sales technologies to improve forecasting and performanceManage external sales partners, including brokers and manufacturer representativesDeliver customer proposals and serve as a senior-facing leader in key account relationshipsResolve escalated customer issues and ensure a seamless sales operation across teamsLead sales meetings, trade events, food shows, and industry seminarsPartner cross-functionally with credit and internal stakeholders to support receivables and compliancePreferred BackgroundWe have a strong preference for candidates with experience in foodservice distribution, including managing complex sales channels and high-volume customer portfolios.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred4–6+ years of foodservice or distribution-related sales experience with leadership responsibility7+ years of progressive sales management experience strongly preferredDemonstrated success leading large teams with layered reporting structuresExpertise in strategic planning, forecasting, territory execution, and margin growthStrong CRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)Excellent communication, relationship-building, and team leadership skillsAbility to travel up to 20%Why JoinThis is an opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role where you will influence sales strategy, develop a sizable team, and drive sustained commercial growth in a dynamic distribution-focused environment.
