After tremendous success in the US and globally, the company is now expanding in Japan, and they’re seeking a talented Sales Leader to grow their footprint in this dynamic market. Role OverviewAs the Japan Sales Leader, your primary responsibility is to drive aggressive revenue growth by expanding company’s sales presence across Japan. You’ll grow existing accounts, identify and open new sales channels, and lead retail and online customer relationships in both the Consumer Electronics and lifestyle markets. This position reports to the Asia Region Head based in Singapore.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead sales strategy for Japan and deliver on ambitious revenue and growth targetsManage and grow relationships with key retailers like BIC Camera, Yodobashi, Yamada, and othersBuild partnerships with local distributors and resellersOwn sales forecasting, account performance, and pricing managementIdentify new sales opportunities and lead negotiations with potential partnersRepresent company in strategic meetings with retail and channel stakeholdersCollaborate cross-functionally with teams in Asia, the U. S. , and EuropeEnsure seamless communication and alignment with global sales and operations teamsQualificationsMinimum 10 years of sales experience in Japan consumer electronicsProven success launching hyper-growth B2C brands in Japan.
Strong network and experience with Japan’s retail and online sales channels. Existing relationships with CE distributors and retailers such as Bic, Yodobashi etc. Expertise with platforms like Amazon, Rakuten, and Yahoo ShoppingSolid experience in pricing strategy, margin management, and competitive positioningFinancial acumen and exceptional negotiation skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. )Fluent in English and JapaneseComfortable working in a startup-style environment: fast-paced, self-directed, and resourceful
