Sales Support is responsible for handling orders, inventory, deliveries, returns, and customer service inquiries, as well as assisting the sales staff with sales and marketing activities. Sales Support works closely with the branch manager, the sales representatives, and the warehouse personnel to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow and a high level of customer satisfaction.Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist & drive sales in industrial distribution to achieve sales goals and targets.Develop strong relationship and networking to existing/prospective customers.Plan visits to customers to provide a high level of customer serviceAssist the sales staff with sales and marketing activities, such as generating leads, preparing proposals, conducting presentations, and participating in trade shows and events.Provide customer service and support, answer phone calls and emails, and respond to customer inquiries and requests.Process customer orders and quotes, verify pricing and availability, and follow up on order status and delivery confirmation.Maintain inventory accuracy and availability, perform cycle counts, replenish stock, and report any discrepancies or issues.Coordinate deliveries and pickups, load and unload trucks, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.Handle customer returns, exchanges, and warranty claims, process credit memos and invoices, and resolve any customer complaints or issues.Perform general administrative and clerical tasks, such as filing, copying, scanning, and data entry.Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as safety and quality standards.Required Position QualificationsThe following skills and qualifications are required for this position:A strong aptitude for Sales and a desire to sellA valid driver's license and the ability to meet our driving record requirementsDemonstrate our core values of Ambition, Innovation, Integrity and TeamworkThe ability to lift, slide, carry and lower packages on a regular basisHigh school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in sales, customer service, or warehouse operations preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.The ability to speak fluent English.Full-time BenefitsCompetitive base salary and performance based bonus structure.WHAT’s in it for you?Develop transferable business skills such as teamwork, problem solving, and customer service - all while earning an income.Be exposed to industrial distribution through a general understanding of us and our competitors.Understand how we approaches sales growth through direct interaction with our customers (inside and outside sales).Gain a working knowledge of how our distribution model adds to the overall success of the business.Understand how we markets its products and services.Receive personalized advising and mentoring while establishing a network of peers.Participate in various professional networking and career readiness activities.Develop the skills and knowledge applicable to future career goals.Explore the career options related to academic work while verifying interest in those careers.About UsSince 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a branch to approximately 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
