This role combines the strategic thinking of traditional Salesforce administration with the technical precision of modern DevOps, making you a critical enabler of our organization's digital transformation initiatives.We're seeking a seasoned Salesforce professional to join our platform's platform engineering team. You'll work at the intersection of business needs and technical delivery, ensuring our Salesforce ecosystem operates flawlessly while enabling rapid, secure deployments. This position offers the opportunity to shape our DevOps maturity and drive automation initiatives that will scale with our growing organization.What You’ll DoManage complex deployments across Development, Sandbox, UAT, and Production environments, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deliveryImplement automated testing and deployment strategies using tools like Salesforce DX, Copado, Gearset, or similar platformsConfigure and maintain custom objects, fields, workflows, Process Builder, validation rules, and security settings to support evolving business requirementsOversee sandbox refreshes, data seeding, and environment maintenance to support continuous development and testing activitiesExecute data imports, exports, quality maintenance, and mass updates using Data Loader and other data management toolsMonitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance user experienceDevelop and maintain backup, disaster recovery processes, and rollback procedures for critical Salesforce data and metadataPartner with development teams to ensure smooth deployment of Apex classes, triggers, Lightning components, and other custom solutionsStay current with Salesforce platform updates, implement best practices, and drive adoption of new features and capabilitiesWhat You’ll Bring4-5 years of Salesforce administration experience with deep platform configuration knowledge and user management expertiseHands-on release management experience using deployment tools such as Salesforce DX, Change Sets, Copado, or GearsetStrong DevOps foundation with understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies for Salesforce environmentsMulti-environment expertise managing coordinated release cycles across Development, Sandbox, UAT, and Production orgsData management proficiency including imports, exports, quality maintenance, and mass data operationsPerformance troubleshooting skills for resolving configuration issues, data problems, and user access challengesVersion control knowledge with Git and understanding of branching strategies for Salesforce metadataProcess-oriented mindset with experience in impact analysis, rollback procedures, and post-deployment validationPreferred QualificationsSalesforce Administrator certification (ADM 201/211)Platform App Builder certification or other relevant Salesforce credentialsExperience with specific deployment tools such as Gearset or Salesforce DevOps CenterTrack record of implementing automation and process improvements in Salesforce environmentsAbout The TeamThe Enterprise Applications team is responsible for GitLab’s critical business applications including ServiceNow, Salesforce, Zuora, Netsuite and many others.
