Job DescriptionOur purpose is to help students deepen their conversion to Jesus Christ and His restored gospel, to qualify for the blessings of the temple, to prepare for missionary and Church service, and to build the kingdom of God. Church Schools provide students with an opportunity to obtain knowledge and skills that will assist them in their future educational and career endeavors.ResponsibilitiesThe main responsibilities of this role are to teach the theoretical and practical instruction of students. The successful applicant will understand the curriculum and exercise sound judgment in using it effectively. He or she will track grades and assess students’ progress according to defined criteria using student management programs.QualificationsESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: A teaching certificate would be an advantage. A Certificate Level III in Food Textiles & Technology or Kitchen Operation or Cookery or any equivalent tertiary qualification from a recognized PSET provider is preferred Has English language concepts and skills (verbal and written) Has the ability to motivate students and increase learning Is organised and hard-working, with the ability to work well with students including an understanding of proven appropriate classroom management strategies Has understanding of Food Textiles & Technology subject knowledge, key concepts& elements Has experience with effective remediation and response to intervention practises Basic to intermediate computer skills Maintains temple worthiness standards Police clearance is required Note Only those with current legal authorization to work in Samoa should apply for this position.
