Leading a team of employees on 2nd shift (5 pmto 3 am), Monday through Thursday), the Sanitation Supervisor supports the cleanliness, sanitization, and control necessary to meet Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), pest control management, and company objectives for a clean and safe manufacturing facility. This individual will support the Quality Management System, including programs like BRC, HACCP, and GMP to ensure the safety and quality of both employees and products.2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday (5pm - 3am)The typical hiring range for this role is $65,000to $75,000 annually and is based on several factors such as education, work experience, skills, certifications, location, etc. In addition to pay, Dessert Holdings offers benefits such as a choice of comprehensive medical plans, dental and vision insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and retirement contribution to all eligible employees.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and guide staff to clean and sanitize production line equipment and facilities according to schedules and SSOPs.Implement and maintain sanitation procedures and training in compliance with the company's Sanitation Program.Monitor and address employee performance and adherence to attendance policies, providing guidance and feedback as needed.Provide hands-on support for chemical handling, safety procedures, and organized storage of sanitation supplies.Oversee pest control management, including scheduling, monitoring, and coordinating pest control activities to maintain a safe and compliant facility.Monitor sanitation performance, identify issues, and assist with corrective actions for non-compliance areas.Collaborate with other departments and shifts to resolve sanitation-related concerns promptly.Assist in audits (GFSI/FSC22000) and support corrective actions as needed.Train sanitation staff on SSOPs, GMPs, and safety standards.Maintain records of inspections, violations, and sanitation KPIs.Perform additional duties as assigned to support a clean, safe, and compliant manufacturing environment.QualificationsAssociate's degree in food science, microbiology, food safety or equivalent3+ years in QA or Sanitation role in a food manufacturing environment2+ years' experience in a Supervisory or Team leader roleEducation and experience may be substituted or combined to meet the qualificationsBilingual in English and Spanish is preferredKnowledge of Microbiology, Sanitation, Chemical Safety and Pest ControlIntermediate Microsoft computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point)Ability to work flexible work schedule as neededAbout Dessert HoldingsDessert Holdings is a collection of premium dessert companies and brands: The Original Cakerie, Lawler's Desserts, Atlanta Cheesecake Company, Steven Charles, Dianne's Fine Desserts, Kenny's Great Pies, and Willamette Valley Pie Company.
