SAP Ariba Functional Consultant

Job OverviewPlan A Technologies is looking for a SAP Ariba Functional Lead. On this project you’ll serve as the primary functional owner and subject matter expert for the SAP Ariba ecosystem. This role is responsible for ensuring that our Procurement-to-Pay (P2P) technology aligns with our financial controls and operational goals. You will manage the platform’s health, from high-level workflow configuration and supplier lifecycle management to complex troubleshooting and ERP integration support.It is a functional leadership position that requires a deep understanding of how procurement data flows through a global enterprise. You will act as the translator between business stakeholders and IT, driving platform optimizations that ensure compliance (SOX), enhance user experience (Guided Buying), and deliver measurable operational efficiency.Please note: you must have at least 5+ years administering and supporting SAP Ariba in a production enterprise environment to be considered for this role.Job Responsibility & Experience5+ years administering and supporting SAP Ariba in a production enterprise environment.Demonstrated expertise configuring and troubleshooting Ariba workflows (approval rules, routing logic, exception handling, notifications).Strong functional understanding of Procurement-to-Pay (P2P) processes (requisitions, purchasing, receiving, invoicing, supplier management).Proven ability to translate business requirements into system design, configuration, and reliable outcomes.Experience driving platform optimization and implementing enhancements with measurable improvements.Experience with Ariba modules: Buying & Invoicing, Guided Buying, Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Lifecycle & Performance, Catalog/Content.Experience supporting integrations between Ariba and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP ECC/S/4HANA or other ERP/AP systems).Familiarity with change management, release management, and IT service management practices (Jira).Experience writing functional specs, configuration documentation, test scripts, and training materials.Exposure to compliance frameworks and auditability expectations (e.g., SOX-aligned change control and access governance).Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.Detail-oriented and process-driven.Comfortable working cross-functionally with distributed teams.Initiative and drive to do great things.About The Company/BenefitsPlan A Technologies is an American software development and technology advisory firm that brings top-tier engineering talent to clients around the world.
