Job DescriptionSAP Project System (PS) Consultant Job SummaryThe SAP PS Consultant is responsible for the implementation, configuration, and support of the SAP Project System module to enable effective project planning, execution, monitoring, and financial control. The role ensures integration of PS with FI/CO, MM, SD, and other modules to support end-to-end project lifecycle management, particularly for capital projects, internal projects, and customer projects.The consultant works with project management and finance stakeholders to streamline budgeting, resource planning, cost tracking, and revenue recognition.Key Process KnowledgeThe Consultant Must Demonstrate Expertise InProject Structures – Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Networks, Activities, MilestonesBudgeting & Cost Planning – project budgets, forecasts, version managementProject Execution & Monitoring – actual cost tracking, confirmations, status managementBilling & Revenue – resource-related billing, milestone billing, revenue recognitionIntegration with FI/CO, MM, SD, PP – cost allocation, procurement, and settlementReporting & Analytics – project progress, cost analysis, earned value managementInvestment Management (IM) – capital project planning and asset capitalizationKey ResponsibilitiesConfigure and support SAP Project System to manage full project lifecyclesDesign WBS and network structures tailored to business requirementsImplement budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes for projectsSupport project procurement and material requirements via MM/PP integrationEnable revenue recognition and billing through SD/CO integrationManage settlements to assets under construction (AUC) and fixed assetsDevelop PS reports, dashboards, and KPIs for project monitoringEnsure compliance with accounting standards and internal project governanceProvide end-user training, documentation, and UAT supportRequired Qualifications & SkillsEducation & CertificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or ITSAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Project System (PS) preferredExperience5–8 years of SAP PS consulting experienceAt least 2 full-cycle implementations in SAP Project SystemStrong knowledge of integration with FI/CO, MM, SD, and Asset AccountingExperience in capital projects, internal orders, and investment managementTechnical & Functional SkillsExpertise in WBS, networks, milestones, and project budgetingHands-on experience with cost planning, revenue recognition, and settlementKnowledge of Results Analysis (RA) and reporting toolsFamiliarity with SAP S/4HANA PS capabilitiesSoft SkillsStrong project accounting and cost control knowledgeExcellent communication and business stakeholder engagementAbility to translate project management requirements into SAP solutionsTeam player with analytical and problem-solving mindsetAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
