Job Description – School GardenerProfile: School GardenerContract Period: 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026Working HoursThe Personnel Shall Be Deployed At The Following HoursMondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 11:30amNo service required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidaysScope of ServicesThe Services Required Are As FollowsGarden MaintenancePerform general maintenance of selected garden plots within Sembawang Primary School.Carry out routine horticultural tasks including soil cultivation, fertilising, digging, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, grass cutting, and bed preparation.Apply chemicals safely and appropriately, as required for garden maintenance.Undertake planting and harvesting activities as part of garden upkeep.Tools & Equipment ManagementMaintain gardening tools, equipment, and supplies stored in the gardening sheds.Ensure tools are kept in good working condition and properly organised.Other DutiesPerform any other gardening-related tasks as assigned by the school.Qualifications and SkillsThe Personnel Shall Minimally Possess The FollowingAt least three (3) years of gardening experience, preferably within a school environment.Proficiency in transplanting, growing, and maintaining a wide variety of plants such as ferns, herbaceous plants, and small trees.Responsible, reliable, and able to work collaboratively and effectively with school staff.
