More information at www.ocsial.com and www.tuball.com.What We’re Looking For: Scientific Researcher – SWCNT-Based Materials SpecialistResponsibilities.Scientific Researcher will be responsible for technological development of processing single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) into macroscopic forms such as bucky papers, as well as for exploring their industrial applications.Scientific Researcher is expected to:Develop and optimize technologies for processing SWCNTs in strongly acidic media and converting them into microscopic materials and intermediates (dispersions, dopes, bucky papers).Design and refine experimental procedures and processing routes, including scale-up form laboratory to pilot-scale conditions, to produce macroscopic forms of SWCNTs.Participate in the formation and justification of research goals and milestones for SWCNT-based materials; collaborate with product developers and interact with with existing and potential customers to identify and develop promising applications.Develop and implement advanced methos for characterization and measurement of mechanical, electrical, and structural properties of SWCNT-based materials and their precursors.Prepare analyses on the intermediate and final results of work in the form of presentations, instructions, and recommendations; participate in the reporting meetings, presenting the results of the work in the form of reports.Contribute to the transfer of R&D results into manufacturing, including drafting and updating technological instructions for production of the developed products.Ensure health and safety compliance and rational use of resources in the manufacturing process for themselves and for the subordinates.Fulfill the requirements of the job description, labor protection instructions, technological instructions, internal labor regulations, oral and written orders of the immediate supervisor and the head of the structural unit.Required skills and experience.Scientific degree in physics or chemistry.Experience in R&D (industrial or academic) for at least five years.At least three years of hands-on experience with solution processing of high-performance polymer or carbon-based materials in strong acids.Practical experience working with aggressive acids (such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid, chlorsulfonic acid), including safe handling procedures.Knowledge and skills in the field of materials science, methods of analysis of mechanical and electrical properties of composite materials; experience with applications of carbon nanotubes is a plus.Authorship of scientific publications and/or patents is a plus.Fluency in English; knowledge of Serbian or Russian is a plus.Excellence in writing and communication skills.Proactiveness and ability to take initiative.Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
