Full or part time hours Hourly rate contract  Start before Christmas or late January  We're looking for a Secretariat Adviser to provide administrative and secretariat support to a dedicated team leading one of New Zealand’s most important services.   There is plenty to do, so in addition to the key tasks below, you’ll be able to use your initiative to make this role your own. Key Tasks include:Attending and supporting meetings including managing logistics, preparing papers, producing minutes and reports and liaising with Chairs and group members.Co-ordinating an awards event, including liaising with nominees, supporting the decision-making panel and engaging with the event organisers.Gathering and analysing data to respond to OIAs and other information requests.Preparing concise briefing papers and supporting material for Ministerial engagements.   This is a varied role which requires:Experience co-ordinating committee and other meetings, including producing minutes.An understanding of government processes, in particular OIA’s and ministerials.Experience supporting Chief Executives and other senior managers.Experience handling datasets.Strong verbal and written communication skills  This is an hourly rate contract, based in Wellington. There is flexibility to work full or part time hours and to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
