This €234 million project aims to improve traffic flow to the city centre and port through the construction of 1.4 km of 2x2-lane motorway, 12 structures, 1.5 km of track realignment, redevelopment of the ferry terminal, and installation of technical systems.You will join a fast-moving, international team and take the lead on the asphalt works — a critical technical package within the project.YOUR MAIN TASKS – SECTION ENGINEER – ASPHALTAs Section Engineer – Asphalt M/F, you will be responsible for planning, supervising and coordinating all asphalt works for the E18/E39 road and junction. Reporting to the Roadway Manager, you will be the sole point of contact for asphalt on site.Your responsibilities include:Supervising on-site asphalt activities and subcontractors (quality, schedule, cost)Liaising with the design office and internal teamsPreparing tender documents and participating in contract negotiationsDeveloping execution plans, KPIs and monitoring toolsReviewing asphalt mix designs and lab resultsPreparing 3-week lookaheads and general works programmeDrafting and implementing ITPs and Control PlansOrganising and leading weekly meetings (writing MoMs)Coordinating with QSE teams for inspections and complianceReporting progress, quality, safety and environmental indicatorsWhat We Are Looking ForDegree in Civil Engineering or equivalentMinimum 2 years of experience on road construction projects, ideally with asphalt focusStrong understanding of asphalt production, laying techniques and Norwegian standardsData-oriented mindset, familiarity with reporting and planning toolsFluent in English; Norwegian strongly preferredAutonomous, quick to adapt, and eager to grow — you will be the only asphalt referent in the teamWhat We OfferFull-time local contract based in Kristiansand (Norway)Competitive salary (to be confirmed based on experience)Opportunity to lead the asphalt package on a major European projectDynamic international team, working on high-impact infrastructureStart date: Between October and December 2025OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESSA 15-minute HR telephone interview An interview with the HR team A technical interview with the Roadway Manager A final interview with the Project Director if needed
