Job Description

Receive and process incoming and outgoing visitor access requests Assist with access control of designated areas Serve as the alternate block captain to ensure safety of workforce, reporting safety hazards and assisting with evacuations Ensure Incident reporting issues are promptly reported throughout investigation period to include initial, follow-up and final report Conduct INFOSEC self-inspections and participate in INFOSEC reviews Attend quarterly security manager meetings Assist with writing and updating standard operating procedures (SOP) to capture changes in processes and/or procedures Participate in weekly team meetings Assist with the management of security documents and databases Report any suspected compromise or loss of classified information to the Facility Security Manager Assist the Facility Security Manager with daily operations supporting mission functions, instructor led training and coordinating event support Prepare and conduct security briefings as required to support onsite operations Provide comprehensive support to the Security Manager and Facility Security Manager to include General Services Administration (GSA) safe assignments Other duties as assignedRequirementsEducation/Training:Bachelor's Degree preferredCompletion of FSO Curriculum for Possessing Facilities (CDSE) preferredExperience3+ years of professional experience in a DoD environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office requiredExperience with the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) requiredDemonstrable knowledge and understanding of DoDM 5200.1 requiredPrevious Experience In a Classified Environment RequiredPrevious experience safeguarding classified material requiredKnowledge of the CFR 32 Part 117 "National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) preferredDemonstrable understanding of classified document markings preferredSecurityMust be a US citizenCandidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret ClearancePhysical RequirementsAble to occasionally reach with hands and armsProlonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a deskAdhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a timeBenefitsHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)Short Term & Long Term DisabilityTraining & DevelopmentWellness ResourcesSalary: $100,000 - 112,000Salary rates for this position are competitive and commensurate with experience and industry standards.
