Security Officer Location: Markham, Ontario, Canada Department: Administration Posted on: September 2, 2025About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to help ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and valuable assets. This role involves a mix of physical security, monitoring, and administrative responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on integrity and attention to detail.Key ResponsibilitiesSafeguard premises against fire, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry.Enforce all security protocols and procedures.Perform opening and closing duties for the facility.Monitor and log the movement of valuable items and general goods in and out of the building.Conduct employee searches using metal detection equipment.Maintain and oversee all security logs and documentation.Monitor CCTV systems and conduct regular patrols to identify and address safety or security breaches.Assist with the delivery and pickup of high-value orders.Track and verify the status of shipped packages.Administer basic First Aid when required.QualificationsHigh school diploma required; a two-year college diploma in Law and Security is preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Security Officer.Valid Ontario Security Guard License.High level of integrity and professionalism.Ability to work independently and under pressure.Strong communication skills in English.Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.Ability to follow instructions accurately.Must be able to pass a police background check.What We OfferWe foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where employees are encouraged to grow and contribute meaningfully.
