Security Officer

Company Description Security and Parking Enforcement since 1992 Role Description This is an on-site, part-time Security Officer role located in Whitby, ON. The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by patrolling assigned areas, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, controlling access points, and ensuring adherence to security protocols. Additional tasks may include providing assistance during emergencies, completing detailed incident reports, and maintaining effective communication with relevant personnel to address security concerns effectively. Qualifications Ability to perform routine surveillance, patrols, and inspections to ensure property safety and compliance with security standardsKnowledge of access control, emergency response procedures, and adherence to protocol during incidentsGood communication skills to effectively report incidents, interact with team members, and assist visitors or employeesStrong situational awareness and problem-solving abilities to assess and act on potential threatsExperience with operating surveillance equipment and maintaining detailed records or reportsPhysical fitness and stamina to perform duties such as standing or patrolling for extended periodsPrevious experience in security, law enforcement, or a similar field is a plusSecurity license or certification compliant with Ontario regulations is required
