Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team in Western Cape. The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel. This is a permanent position with full-time hours.Job DutiesConduct regular patrols of the premises to maintain a secure environmentMonitor surveillance cameras and alarm systemsRespond to emergencies and alarms promptlyEnforce company security policies and proceduresReport any suspicious activities or incidents to the appropriate authoritiesProvide assistance to employees and visitors as neededRequired QualificationsValid Security Officer licenceExcellent communication skillsAbility to handle stressful situations calmly and professionallyPhysical fitness and ability to stand and walk for extended periodsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalentExperiencePrior experience in a security-related role preferredKnowledge And SkillsKnowledge of security operations and proceduresAbility to use surveillance systems and equipmentGood judgement and decision-making skillsPreferred QualificationsFirst Aid/CPR certificationAdditional security training or certificationsWorking ConditionsFull-time position with expected work hoursMay require working evenings, weekends, and holidaysExposure to various weather conditionsPotential for physical confrontations with individuals
