We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with proven property management experience to join our growing team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial operations for our property portfolio, supporting owners, vendors, tenants, and HOA boards with professionalism, efficiency, and strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing high-volume transactions while maintaining strict accuracy and compliance standards. This position is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced remote environment and has hands-on experience with AppFolio and property management accounting processes.Key ResponsibilitiesDailyMonitor and review financial diagnostics for accuracy and completeness.Review general ledgers to ensure proper accounting and compliance.Process insurance and utility payments promptly when funds are available.Verify payment history to avoid duplicate payments.Weekly & RecurringProcess vendor payments accurately and on time.Distribute owner payments according to established schedules.Manage recurring HOA payments via printed checks.Address and resolve tenant, vendor, and owner inquiries or complaints professionally.MonthlyPrepare and distribute owner packets.Perform reconciliations, including:Reviewing and finalizing reconciliations within deadlines.Preparing state forms with reconciliation reports and bank statements.Sharing board packets and bank statements with HOA boards.Review owner payment holds and take appropriate action.Post management fees and conduct financial diagnostic reviews.Review and resolve unreconciled transactions.Oversee management fee flows and ensure timely transfers.Requirements2–3+ years of experience in property management accounting or financial coordination.Proven experience using AppFolio (required).Strong understanding of property management financial processes.Experience handling tenant, vendor, and owner concerns professionally.High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken).Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.What We OfferFully remote, full-time position.Flexible and supportive work environment.Competitive hourly rate of $12–$15 USD, based on experience.Opportunity to work directly with property owners, tenants, vendors, and HOA boards.
