Position OverviewThe Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and supervising all accounting operations of the company, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with Nepal’s tax and accounting laws, and maintaining robust internal controls. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with relevant hospitality industry experience and deep familiarity with Nepali financial regulations. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, payable, payroll, and general ledger functions.Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.Ensure timely filing of all statutory obligations including VAT, TDS, income tax, excise, and other local compliances.Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies as required.Review and reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and inter-company transactions.Prepare management reports including P&L, balance sheets, and variance analysis.Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.Ensure internal control systems and financial procedures are followed across all business units (restaurant, bar, catering, events, etc.).Support financial planning, cost control, and budgeting processes in collaboration with the Finance Manager.Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for improved profitability and efficiency. Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Chartered Accountant (CA) — qualified and registered in Nepal.Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the hospitality, restaurant, or hotel sector.Technical Knowledge:Deep understanding of Nepal Accounting Standards (NAS/NFRS) and Income Tax Act.Proficiency in VAT, TDS, excise duty, and other compliance regulations.Strong command over accounting software (Tally/ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.Skills:Strong analytical and reporting skills.High accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.Effective communication and team leadership ability.
