Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Handle the complete accounting of the subsidiary (GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L analysis and other) as well as all fiscal, social, and statistical requirements. • Ensure that adequate financial management and processes/controls are in place, respecting internal and external Compliance regulations ; • Safeguard confidential information ; Job Title: Accountant/Sr Accountant/ Management Accountant Department/Group: EMEA General Accounting Location: EMEA VP International Operations European Finance Controller Finance Manager • Process G/L entries, weekly sub-system posts, and daily operational transactions ; • Financial Statement Analysis: Comparison of actuals vs budget, forecast, projection, prior year for sales, expenses and other financial measurements (specifically for Senior Accountants) ; • Prepare statutory financial statements, tax- and statistical returns ; • Assist in preparation of accurate and reasonable annual budgets and other financial planning in line with the corporate targets ; • Efficient assistance/communication with the EMEA-, US- and Shanghai Head Offices. • Ensure all company resources are used in the most effective and efficient manner. • Assist in monitoring of cash and cash requirements ; • Collect A/R to reduce risk and manage cash flow ; • Process intercompany payments and ensure intercompany payable accounts are reconciled ; • Maintenance of fixed asset sub ledger ; • Make accurate and timely balance reconciliations every month; • Payroll management and payments ; • Company cars, fuel cards; • Headcounts and other reporting; • Support the local and the EMEA management team in such a way that they can make business decisions based on financial facts in the most effective way; • Resolve accounting discrepancies; • Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits; • Other specific tasks and duties as assigned by manager ADDITIONAL NOTES Every employee is responsible to complete required Compliance and Quality training successfully and on-time and to ensure that his/her direct reports complete the assigned training on time also. Education & degrees Experience & seniority: - Accounting degree according to the job level and specific tasks; - 3 years experience minimum, preferably in a fast-pace international office environment. Others: • Person must be knowledgeable of local accounting regulations • Person must have computer system management experience • Basic knowledge of local tax laws • Proficiency in Excel Language : Good comprehension of written and spoken English • Works according to company’s quality policies and procedures • is responsible for his/her own safety and looks after others’, in compliance with local laws and regulations and company’s policies and decisions • at his/her level, identifies and reports all incidents or potential problems, notably related to quality, safety, environment, and health, and makes proposals (preventive or corrective actions) to prevent anomalies or accidents
