We provide a wide range of services designed to lower costs, reduce risk, and improve productivity through the transfer of account management and business support functions — such as policy checking, certificate issuance, eligibility processing, quality control, and account audits — to operations centers in the US, India, and the Philippines.About this job The Senior Accountant supports the Global Shared Services Record-to-Report team in performing general accounting tasks for multiple consolidated entities. This includes balance sheet account reconciliations, project accounting, monthly journal entries, and intercompany reconciliations.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to working in a global, remote environment. This role requires a self-starter who can work independently while operating within the structure of a Global Finance team managed from the US.Patra Core Competencies:Knows the BusinessLeads OthersAccountableTeam PlayerCore Duties by Competency:Knows the BusinessSupport month-end close processes and reportingPerform general ledger reconciliationsMaintain and amortize prepaid expense accountsManage fixed asset additions, retirements, and depreciationHandle intercompany reconciliationsPrepare and record expense accruals and amortizationsPerform accounting for internally developed software capitalizationProvide monthly accounting support for multiple subsidiariesReview and resolve general ledger discrepanciesHandle other ad hoc reports as neededBook various general ledger monthly journal entriesOversee the recording of payroll and benefits entriesLeads OthersDemonstrate ownership and initiative in completing assigned accounting tasks with minimal supervision.Share knowledge and best practices to help streamline accounting processes across entities.Provide guidance to junior accountants or new team members when applicable.Model accountability and accuracy in deliverables to set performance standards for others.Proactively communicate potential issues, risks, or process gaps to management, suggesting practical solutions.AccountablePrepare audit schedules and supporting documentationDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).Team PlayerWork effectively with colleagues across global locations, including the U.S., India, and the Philippines, to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.Demonstrate strong communication and partnership with HR, Operations, and other departments for accounting-related matters.Share information and updates proactively to support transparency within the Global Finance team.Show flexibility in assisting team members during close periods or special projects to meet collective goals.Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that aligns with Patra’s core values and promotes mutual respect.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA preferred but not required)Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years being G/L focusedExperience in Shared Services or BPO environments is an advantageProficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus)Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience requiredGood understanding of U.S. GAAP or IFRS preferredProficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS applicationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailOrganized and accurate in work performedAble to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong and effective written and verbal English communication skillsAbility to maintain productivity and communication in a small team remotelyFlexible with work hours, particularly during month-end closeKnowledge of local tax and compliance a plus, but not requiredComfortable working in a remote setup and participating in video meetingsStable home internet connection requiredWorking ConditionsWork Setup: Fully remote (work-from-home)Minimum internet speed of 25 mbps download and 25 mbps upload; Directly connected into modem; No satelliteSchedule: Must be physically able and willing to work during U.S. business hours (night shift as applicable)Work StandardsInterpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the ability to work well with Patra colleagues and clients and with external organizations.Promotes Culture of Respect & Safety: Demonstrates commitment to personal responsibility and value for safety and respect; Communicates concernsUses and promotes safe respectful behaviors based on training and lessons learnedSubject to and expected to comply with all applicable Patra Corp policies and procedures.
