A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecastsDuties and Responsibilities:Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.Coordinating accounting functions and programs.Preparing financial analyses and reports.Create and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts by compiling electronic data and required documentation.Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including a profit and loss statement, and other necessary reports.Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.Guide junior accountants and other staff by answering questions and coordinating informational classes.Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.Assist with tax audits and tax returns.Play a vital part in the company's financial management which includes all account reconciliations and reporting to necessary parties.Qualifications:BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant subject.Proven work experience as a Senior accountant.Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping proceduresFamiliarity with accounting software packagesComputer literacy (MS Excel in particular)Excellent analytical and time management skillsStrong numeracy skillsKeen attention to detail
