We connect industry players around the world, meeting the dynamic needs of our customers with agility and delivering consistent quality, insightful market information, and seamless logistics.At MAN Corp, our mission is to create lasting value and strong, beneficial partnerships within the global commodity industry.We are currently seeking to fill the role of Senior Accountant, Trade Accounting & Finance.The candidate will work closely with and report directly to the Assistant Manager, Trade Accounting & Finance, and the Group Financial Controller in the timely and accurate delivery of the Group’s financial results on a monthly and annual basis.The candidate will also assist the aforementioned individuals with presenting the key financial and commercial matters to be considered, arising from a critical review and analysis of the trading results and financial position of the Group.The Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant, Trade Accounting & Finance are summarized as follows:I. Accounting & ReportingReview daily Journal Entries and finalize GL & TB (monthly and annual) of all group companies, working alongside the respective junior accountantsPrepare and finalize the monthly management accounts of the Trading & Derivatives businesses in accordance with IFRS, including P&L, detailed schedules and sub-schedules.Assist in preparation of monthly Reconciliation of Commercial P&L to Accounting P&L, with detailed explanations where necessaryReview key components of the entity and Group level Balance Sheets relating to the Trading and Derivatives businessAssume a key role in the year-end audits for all entitiesAssist the Group Financial Controller in any other key areas of accounting and reporting, as and when necessary and requiredII. Systems and ControlsAssume key role in the roll-out and usage of the new ERP / integrated accounting systemQualifications and BackgroundThe ideal candidate will possess the following background and credentials:Accountant with 5-6 years relevant experience, having trained and worked in an IFRS reporting environmentExperience of working extensively with ERP packages such as MS Dynamics, SAP, Oracle etcExperience with commodity trading or a commodity related industry would be preferred.Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and criticallyProactive problem solver and effective communication skills, both orally and in writing
