Senior Accountant & Treasurer

Location: Remote (Philippines)Type: Full-time or Part-timeExperience: 3+ years accounting experience | CPA requiredAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a Senior Accountant / CPA to take ownership of our financial reporting, compliance, and tax filings in the Philippines. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our books are clean, accurate, and audit-ready — and that all obligations are met through Juan Accounting, JuanTax and related systems.You’ll work directly with the founder and operations team to improve internal processes and ensure full compliance with Philippine accounting and tax standards. You will also be expected to serve as Treasurer on the board of directors, a critical requirement as a BSP-licensed financial institution.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate and timely financial records (Juan Accounting).Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements (FS, BS, CFS).Manage tax filings via JuanTax — VAT, Income Tax, Withholding, etc.Reconcile bank accounts, payables, and receivables.Support annual audit preparation and coordination with external auditors.Ensure compliance with BIR and SEC reporting requirements.Advise on accounting best practices and process improvements.QualificationsCertified Public Accountant (CPA) in good standing (Philippines).3+ years of professional accounting experience, ideally in SME or startup settings.Strong knowledge of Philippine tax compliance and BIR procedures.Hands-on experience using Juan Accounting and JuanTax.Familiarity with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting systems.Excellent attention to detail, organization, and integrity.Strong communication skills and comfort working independently.Preferred (Nice to Have)Experience preparing audit-ready statements.Familiarity with US GAAP or consolidation for international operations.Interest in financial systems automation or digital tools.Why Join UsCompetitive pay (commensurate with experience).Flexible work setup — remote or hybrid.Opportunity to help build financial systems from the ground up.Work directly with the founder and shape company processes.
