Senior Accountant

Watania Steel is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in accounting within the manufacturing sector and hands-on expertise in SAP systems.Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and review financial statements ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business planning and decision-making.• Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.• Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff.• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities.• Handle costing and inventory control functions.• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.• Process payments and manage banking transactions.• Maintain relationships with banks.• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.• Support Zakat and tax filing processes.Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Accountant, preferably in the manufacturing sector.• Strong knowledge of MS Office and accounting software (e.g., SAP).• Solid understanding of VAT, ZATCA, and SOCPA regulations.• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and team collaboration skills.
