Your opportunity to join our Finance team in North Ryde!Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager this is a senior, hands-on role responsible for the maintenance and management of vendor invoices across Inghams’ ANZ operations. As 2IC to the AP Manager, this role combines operational excellence with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-volume processing is delivered accurately and on time. The role requires strong technical accounting skills, the ability to manage team members and drive process improvements, excellent stakeholder management across finance and operations teams and outstanding service delivery to external vendors. Key responsibilities:Provide second-line support and mentoring to AP Officer(s), ensuring consistent quality standards and professional developmentOversee high-volume vendor invoice processing and payment accuracy with minimal supervisionProblem solve independently on complex queries and escalate appropriately to the AP ManagerMaintain exceptional data entry accuracy across all AP transactionsDemonstrate excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholdersManage time effectively with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentDeal with complex queries and manage through to resolutionSupport process improvement initiatives and best practice implementationProvide coverage for the AP Manager when requiredAssist with training and onboarding of new AP team members Key requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferable but not mandatory)Minimum 5+ years in an FMCG environment with strong focus on supporting the AP function across the businessProven experience in a senior or supervisory AP role with leadership capability and experience mentoring/coaching team membersProven experience building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersStrong analytical skills with advanced Excel skillsExperience dealing with large volume transactionsDemonstrated experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP or similar)Experience in process improvement and systems optimizationPositive work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, supporting the wider team with process improvement and best practiceAbility to provide clear and timely communications to all stakeholders on issues with recommendations and action plansStrong attention to detail with ability to manage competing prioritiesProactive problem-solving approach with ability to escalate appropriatelyInitiative and able to work with minimal supervisionWe’re looking for people who are curious, caring, courageous and committed to join us; people who want to contribute their best work every single day and continue delivering deliciously good food that’s…Always Good!
