Are you interested in giving every child a strong start by enabling high quality kindergarten delivery in rural and remote schools?The Darling Downs South West Region is looking for someone who has a deep understanding of the National Quality Framework to guide eligible schools in the delivery of State Delivered Kindergarten. An understanding of operations of State Schools in rural and remote areas, as well as state and federal early childhood legislation, regulations, frameworks and guidelines is integral to the role.The successful applicant will collaborate with the Regional Director, School Supervisors and other senior staff in the Department of Education.About The Department Of EducationThe Department of Education (DoE) sets the foundations for quality early learning experiences and delivers world class education services. Find out more about working with us .Your RoleThe Senior Advisor State Delivered Kindergarten delivers services focussed on ensuring the health, wellbeing and safety of all children attending schools with State Delivered Kindergarten in the Darling Downs South West Region. There are currently 31 schools pescribed to deliver State Delivered Kindergarten in the DDSW Region.As The Senior Advisor, State Delivered Kindergarten You WillSupport the functions of the Regional Director by leading or contributing to strategic and operational issues that impact State Delivered Kindergartens.Promote excellent practice and high performance through planned activities that underpin good corporate governance, monitoring, reporting and strategy development.Liaise with the Regional Director and other senior staff in the region and Early Childhood, Regulation and Communications Division to support the delivery of kindergarten in the region.Your ResponsibilitiesAs the Senior Advisor, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Working alongside the Head of Department, State Delivered Kindergarten, the Senior Advisor's responsibilities include:Identify and respond to developing issues, good practice and opportunities in relation to the Department of Education's planning, governance, reporting and performance management processes and support continuous improvement in the region.Lead the development and implementation of frameworks, resources and activities that support effective and efficient strategic and operational planning, corporate governance, performance, reporting and risk management.Partner with teams across the region and division on projects aimed at building organisational capability and performance through proactive planning and engagement activities, including conducting workshops and presentations.Work with key contacts to ensure the accurate and timely collection of performance information and corporate reporting.Desirable QualificationsACECQA recognised early childhood teacher qualifications are desirable for this role.Please refer to the attached role description for the full list of responsibilities and mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?
