Senior AI Engineer (f/m/d)

Your missionWe are looking for a driven and experienced (Senior) AI Engineer (f/m/d) to join our team in Munich. In this role, you will design and build production-grade AI systems that power deeploi’s intelligent IT workflows. You will take ownership of developing and deploying LLM-based automation solutions that reduce manual work, accelerate support processes, and enhance the experience of both our customers and internal teams.Here are the detailed tasks:Design and implement LLM-based ticket classification and intent extraction pipelines for Zendesk and Intercom contexts.Build and maintain real-time recommendation and routing pipelines for support workflows.Lead prompt engineering and model fine-tuning to ensure production-quality performance.Develop MLOps infrastructure, including model serving, CI/CD, and monitoring for deployed systems.Validate impact through clear KPIs such as reduced resolution times, improved first-touch resolution, and automation efficiency.Integrate AI solutions with existing TypeScript/Python services and collaborate closely with support and product teams.Document and share best practices to scale AI capabilities across the organization and mentor engineers in applying LLM-driven solutions.Your profile6+ years of experience in Software or Machine Learning Engineering.Proven experience building and deploying LLM or GenAI systems in production environments.Strong background in AI/ML engineering, solving real-world business problems at scale.Hands-on experience with MLOps: model deployment, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability.Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript.Strong understanding of prompt engineering and fine-tuning techniques for LLMs.Excellent communication skills in English (C1); German is a plus.Nice to have:Experience building ML/AI pipelines for ticket classification, intent extraction, or real-time recommendation systems.Practical experience with production-grade AI systems beyond research or prototype work.Familiarity with support platforms such as Zendesk or Intercom, and mapping AI-driven workflows to agent tasks.Why us?Be part of a small, ambitious, and fast-growing team in Munich and Berlin, backed by top European VCs like Atomico and Cherry Ventures.Join us in shaping the future of IT and help build the most intelligent IT Management Platform in the market.High impact and ownership from day one — your work will directly shape deeploi’s AI strategy.Attractive compensation package, including a generous share package (VSOP).High responsibility and ownership from day one.Employee benefits: public transportation ticket or Urban Sports Club, Corporate Benefits.Well-equipped offices in Munich and Berlin.About UsMake millions of people work better every day.We seek bright brains to join the IT revolution and build Europe’s #1 IT Operating System.deeploi was founded in 2023 and is backed by leading European investors including Atomico and Cherry Ventures to rethink how IT is done.IT as a Service – not as a struggle: We are building an all-in-one IT platform, combined with premium support.
