The role focuses on proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and maintaining service continuity across critical banking channels.What You Will Do:Ensure high availability and stability of digital banking applications (e.g., online banking, mobile apps, APIs)Investigate and resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLOs. Ensure proper incident escalations to senior engineers or vendors if neededMonitor application health, logs, and interfaces to detect and prevent service disruptions proactively. Perform routine configuration tasks, application deployments, and scheduled maintenanceSupport incident post-mortems, root cause analysis, and preventive action implementation. Document troubleshooting steps, known issues, and recovery proceduresCollaborate closely with the service desk, DevOps, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and engineering teamsParticipate in testing and rollouts for patches, upgrades, and new feature releasesYou will have the opportunity to work with and contribute to Java codebases under the guidance of Senior Software Engineers. You will participate in code reviews and learn best practices in software development. Additionally, you will assist in automating operational tasks and improving deployment pipelinesEnsure adherence to compliance, data privacy, and security standards required in the banking sector What We Expect: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fieldAt least 5 years of experience in IT application support or software engineering, preferably in the financial services sectorSkills in Java and Spring Boot are preferred, along with proficiency in tools like Jenkins and GitKnowledge of banking channels architecture and integrations (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs, message queues)Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., NewRelic, Grafana, ELK)Preferably, practical knowledge on cloud-based application management in AWSWorking knowledge of databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) would be considered an advantageFamiliarity with ITIL processes, especially incident, problem, and change managementStrong analytical skills, service mindset, and ability to work in high-pressure environmentsAvailability for on-call rotations and incident support outside business hoursFluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic levelWhat We Offer:Flexibility.
