Our Manchester Division is looking to recruit a Senior Architectural Technician to join the Division’s Technical team.The RoleThe role of Senior Architectural Technician will be to support the Architectural Manager / Head of Technical and the wider business including our Construction, Commercial and Sales teams in the execution of construction projects through ongoing support and timely delivery of accurate architectural and technical information.Development & maintenance of divisional details and specifications including production of working pack drawingsWork alongside external consultants and suppliers to ensure complete design solution delivered in line with company standardsSupport the upkeep of our Drawing Management systemSupport site teams and colleagues with information requestsAttend and chair (if applicable) site-based meetings / audits as and when requiredKeep up to date with CDM and CPD responsibilities specific to the roleMaintain up to date with legislation and regulations as well as understanding future regulations that are coming into effect within the industrySupport the Architectural Manager in managerial issues and reporting where requiredSupport, mentor and manage Trainee and Graduate TechniciansExperienceExperience, Qualifications and SkillsExperience of working with Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD is desirableExtensive experience working at a senior level within the housebuilding industry in a technical / architectural function, running numerous projects simultaneouslyKnowledge of building regulations and current NHBC standardsQualifications And TrainingQualified to degree level or HNC/HND in a Construction / Architectural Technology subject with relevant experienceCSCS card or equivalentCurrent full UK driving licenceSkills and AptitudeStrong communication, listening, presentation skills and excellent attention to detailAbility to be able to express technical information in a clear and concise mannerMethodical, conscientious, organised and works to deliver high standardsAbility to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and effective manner.Ability to work independently as well as part of a teamAbility to lead, manage and motivate a teamAbility to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to problem solve and delegate effectivelyProficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems.Committed to diversity and inclusionWorking ConditionsOffice based role with regular travel to development sites and for meetingsWilling to be flexible in respect to day-to-day duties and hours worked.Core hoursIn Return We Can Offer YouCompetitive salaryCompetitive annual bonusContributory pension scheme25 days holiday, plus bank holidaysAccess to discounts and benefits portalShareSave SchemeCycle to Work SchemeLife assuranceHoliday Purchase SchemeEarn and Learn OpportunitiesWe reserve the right to close this vacancy if a large volume of applications are received.Apply for this job
