This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping AUT’s digital education future.About the role | Kōrero mō te tūranga The AUT Online Graphic Design Lead provides design expertise and creative leadership across AUT Online’s marketing and course development functions.RoleThis role produces visually compelling, on-brand digital assets that support both marketing and student recruitment campaigns as well as the creation of engaging online learning experiences. Operating across two key workstreams, you will:Design campaign visuals, advertising content, social media assets, and digital collateral for marketing and recruitment. Develop UI/UX elements, illustrations, and multimedia graphics that enhance the accessibility and visual appeal of online courses in collaboration with the AUT Online Learning Designers and Technologists. Guide design direction and quality assurance, ensuring creative consistency across AUT Online’s digital platforms. You’ll play a pivotal role in connecting AUT’s brand and student experience from first engagement through to graduation, helping to build a cohesive and distinctive visual identity for AUT Online.About you | Kōrero mōu You Will Bring5+ years’ experience in professional graphic or digital design, including at least 2 years in a leadership or project coordination capacity. Advanced expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver). Strong understanding of UI/UX, accessibility, and digital production principles. Experience delivering creative outputs across multiple channels and stakeholder groups. Commitment to te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and contributing to an inclusive, values-led design practice. Experience in video, photography, 3D rendering, or learning design software (e.g., Articulate 360, H5P) is advantageous.
